S K I L L O V E R V I E W
Studio Artist, 1986 - present
Since 1986 I have been pursuing the design, creation and marketing of my own artwork. My efforts have generated recognition in my field through extensive exhibitions, publication of my artwork in catalogs, books and magazines as well as several television interviews. My work is in numerous collections, both public and private. During the time period from Fall of 2003 - Summer 2006, in which I was researching and writing my first book, I took time out from teaching and exhibiting my artwork.

Instrumental in organizing and hanging numerous regional exhibitions: Faces of Cleveland, an annual photography show sponsored by The Free Times, and Crayola Dream-Makers, an exhibition of children's art at the Cleveland Children's Museum, sponsored by Crayola; Curator: How To Make An American Quilt, sponsored by United Artists Studios; Spirit Boxes, Sacred Vessels and Shrines at the Artstown Studio Gallery, Avon Lake, OH, Artist as Quiltmaker IX - XII (2000 - 2006), Pathways and Perspectives Symposium, and Threads of Freedom: The Underground Railroad Story in Quilts, all exhibitions held at the Firelands Association for the Visual Arts (FAVA) in Oberlin, OH.
